The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of standardized and highly specialized Biochemical, Hematological, Microbiological and Blood Banking analysis in the Clinical Laboratory. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of patient test results used for the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients.
Requirements Minimum Education: - Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree and/or equivalent training required for California Clinical Laboratory Science License.
Minimum Experience/Knowledge: - Min. 1 year prior experience in a hospital laboratory setting or equivalent to include: specialized and complex analysis, computer experience, quality control, calibration, QC evaluation, inventory control, preventative maintenance, and quality improvement.
Required License/Certification: - Valid Clinical Lab Scientist license from the State of California. ASCP certification preferred but not required. - A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 90 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
